Matt Scott, hired as Fort Knox - Head Coach
MATT SCOTT
       HEAD COACH
Fort Knox Junior Hockey Club

We are pleased to welcome back, former Fort Knox goaltender, Matt Scott, as our new Head Coach!

Matt brings an extensive amount of coaching experience and has a strong background in player development.

Matt is from Whitewood, SK where he grew up playing most of his minor hockey. Matt played U18 AAA hockey in Yorkton then advanced to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, playing with the Melville Millionaires before capturing a Royal Bank Cup Championship with the Weyburn Redwings in 2005.

Matt joined the Fort Knox during the 2006-2007 season when the Knox hosted the Keystone Cup, and were finalists, earning silver medals.

Following Matt’s junior career, he entered into coaching, starting out with the Pipestone Valley Jets U18 AA program and working various hockey schools and development camps.

Matt coached all levels at Notre Dame, and served as a Skills & Development Coach.

Currently Matt is involved with Hockey Sask Male U16 and U18 programs and is co-owner and lead instructor of Western Prospects Hockey Development with Taras Mcewen.

Matt also spent time as a Coach Mentor for Hockey Sask.

Welcome back, Matt!
